A Night @ The Supper Club Singapore

My sis decided to make a reservation for the 2 of us at the SupperClub this evening, and heck, dinner with just my sis to bitch with... hell yes! After all the trouble of confirming the reservation, and finding the entrance to the place, we finally got there... not too early but still not the first. We were brought to our table, which was a tiny setting on a bed with loads of pillows. I think we got the best bed of the night, facing the bar and not some couple trying to eat each other while waiting for the food.

But after waiting about an hour, I was getting hungry and wine alone wasn't something that goes well with an empty stomach. Plus the constant, yet pathetic, attempts at flirting with the waiter from the girls on the next bed was getting irritating.

Soon the first course was served, and it was a nice start to the evening, a simple pumpkin soup with bacon bits (I think). I wish I had a bigger portion (so I can have soup and bread for a meal and be happy...) but the bed on our left had to have like 10 people in their party (like that actually mattered). It was followed by a roast beef dish, with potato gratin and vegetable bitties. The dinner was finished off with a simple banana and cream layered between puff pastry fingers.

Just before the dessert was served, there was a pleasant, and strange, surprise performance but a single bald dancer. I was actually stopped mid-sentence and just stared at a strange figure coming into the room to Britney Spears' Womanizer. The blad guy had a really shiny face, like it was slathered with oil (which we found out mid-dance was actually peel-off face mask), glitter all over, dressed in black with strap-on angel wings, and carried a box of tissues.

Well after we finished dessert, we just sat there bitching about some things as we finished off the wine. Actually the couple trying to get it on in another bed was turning us off and we decided to head home before any clothes went flying.

It might be a bit pricey, but it's a nice experience, and a really fun way to have dinner.
