It seems that when you are testing different fragrances, it's best to have a small amount of roasted
coffee beans with you to clear your nasal passage in between fragrances. I guess it's probably the reason why I tend to pick up certain smells better than some people around me. Smelling coffee almost everyday seems to have given me slightly better smelling abilities but it is not always a good thing though.
Oddly enough I could smell that the jar of biscotti was open, even though someone who had it right under their nose didn't realise it. This would be one of the good days, like smelling bread that is about to burn and get it out before it does, or notice that someone decided to try on a new perfume.
Bad days include times when you smell something rotting and realise that it's a dead rat, or that a customer hasn't showered and decided to start the day off with a cup of coffee and his book.
Seriously, how can you not shower before you leave the house face the world? Gross!
