Back To Work

Started working back at Dome today. Feels damn great going back to that place, especially without a certain person. Thinking back, if that person left before me, I wouldn't have left this job in the first place. Then again, I guess maybe there's a reason behind what we do and when we do it.

Anyhoo.... started missing the place about 8 months ago when I went there for a coffee after my friend's wedding. At that time, the assistant manager had asked me to return but I was in the midst of getting my driver's license and also starting school, and sadly had to decline. Later, every time I went for a coffee with Mark it just made me miss it much more. What eventually got my butt back to the place was the boredom during my 3 weeks break from school. So after the Biennale trip with Shirley, took a short walk down to Dome PM, and got myself hired.

First day and I get a nice little short 4.5hour job but was I bored the first hour. There were a few tables occupied when I came in @ 10, and it was dead for about an hour after they left. I totally didn't know what else to do and ended up making myself and the other girl a coffee. Best part of the day was being up on the bar again, messing around with the coffee machine! Coffee beans grinding, frothing the milk, foam flying everywhere.... Bliss!

Worse part is the pain that hits you after the whole shift, having all the muscles that were long forgotten start to ache again. Thank goodness typing only takes the fingers... although the right wrist hurts a little too... for once the pain feels great!

I'm on a high.
