You might think just because you've worked in the industry that you've seen everything and know everything. I can say for sure that no matter how much experience and wisdom you have and can impart, that you did it the wrong way today. Yes the place was messy when you came, and yes it wasn't cleared immediately. However, to say that it was because I lack the skills or I didn't communicate with my staff, I definitely take offense to that.
After observing what goes on for about 10 minutes did you only realise that he doesn't do what naturally comes to people in this industry. Yes, after a month of working in this place, that idiot still doesn't do what he's supposed to do. Rather, washing up the things in the sink are more important than clearing everything into the bin or sink first. Is it because I haven't said that we should clean up the place a.s.a.p.? Or is it because he thinks it's not important?
How is it Aunty would do it automatically once she's free, but he doesn't? Does it have to be in black and white for him to get things done?
Think about it. The problem with the landlord only started after he arrived. When Aunty was always opening the store there was NEVER one complaint. Once he started, then the calls to you from the landlord came.
Don't blame me, find the problem.
So now you know what the problem is, what are YOU going to do about it?
As for your advice to find staff, I'll find my part-time crew. I'll find what I need. When I do, I hope you do your part, and remove the problem. We'll see if you get more calls from the landlord then.
Talking about advice, really what kind of advice is telling me to just instruct him what to do? Does it really help the problem? I know if I'm not there, nothing will get done. Well, you want me to give the idiot shit, I'll give the idiot shit. Don't blame me if you lose another staff, but then again, no one really wants to work with him anyway.
