Visit to Jin Fu Kong Temple

Mom & dad decided it was high time they visited the temple to give thanks and pray for whatever they pray for. So since I could take pictures, I tagged along.

The Side Entrance We Came Through

Located along Jurong West St 91, this temple seems to be getting bigger everytime I visit. This time I went with my parents. Basically with no idea what I was doing, I just copied them all the way, offering joss-sticks to the different effigies without knowing anything about them. So if anyone can tell who they represent then let us all know by leaving a comment.

Me Concerned Momma!

I think I could guess which one was the God of Gambling ~ the one with all the pots of numbers and sticks infront of it.

For those who are interested in art, you could get a lot of examples by just walking through the temple. With paintings, sculptures and carvings all over the place. From stone panels telling a story all around the temple walls, huge incense stick pots, paintings, to door guardians, pillars and even a decorated ceiling.

If you want to look at fauna and flora, they have some of those too! I only got a shot of one banana plant which beared fruits. There were a lot more plants and one was a huge curry leaf plant, grown so big it looked like a small tree.

Goreng Pisang?

After all the pictures were taken, we just headed across the entrance of the carpark and sat down for our lunch. The duck horfun there was interesting.

Time To Reflect
