Sent Adi home and since mom wanted to get stuff from NTUC, we head to big 24-hour branch in Clementi and got her drink supplies among other things. As I was getting a bit hungry, and it was time for my dinner, we went to the coffee shop just behind NTUC for some Mee Rebus which I haven't had for a long while.
There's something about the rich beef and peanut gravy, mixed with with the tartness of the fresh lime juice, and the kick from the sliced green chilli. It doesn't feel disgustingly starchy and has the right balance to satisfy and perk you up at the same time. The only problem with this is the lack of ingredients as it's usually just noodles, bean sprouts and an egg. Just not enough meat and vegetables, but that's what good about buying this from a stall that sells cooked food as well.
Well now that I had my dinner, I'd probably enjoy a good sleep, if the stupid mosquitoes would leave me alone.
