My First Partial Soccer League Photoshoot

After I got some idea to take photos of my best buddies to create something that I eventually want to have in my room, I asked Adi if I could take some photos of her in action during her soccer games. Unexpectedly, I ended up taking most of the games she played as I never really got the shot I wanted, though I did come close during training for the final match.

I started out on my uncle's camera at the old police academy, where Adi's team was to play the team from the police. Eventually the team started getting in on the photos, and even the coach was thinking of creating a team album.

I think I need another league to get the photo I want, but if it doesn't work out, I still have the photo I really like. At the end of it all, I still don't really enjoy watching soccer.

Whack Whack Whack

After asking me to join him for golf for quite some time, Syndyk finally got a day off and took the opportunity to introduce me to a game I find really boring. Picking someplace close to both of us, we ended up going to the driving range in Bukit Batok.

Even Little Kids Come To Play

Choosing a spot to let out our frustrations, Syndyk went to get the some card that stored the allotment of golf balls you paid for. After a little warm-up, he was ready to go. Whacking balls to the right of the range for some odd reason, with a few straight through the middle with a good distance, and some failures that fell a bit too close for someone who plays golf.

After a while, the lot next to us was taken by a really irritating show-off. So we weren't exactly pros there with a big bag of clubs, but not everyone who had a rane of clubs to choose from used their biggest and noisiest one of all (don't ask me which one it was cos I still don't know the difference). The club did give you a bit more on the ball's travel distance, but it was one big distraction, and irritation to the ears, when it made contact with the ball. The reason it got me irritated was because every time he hit, it made me cringe... and it was right at the time where I was having fun whacking some golf balls. Somehow I wished the one I had slipped out and knocked him on his shin or something.

Minutes After The S'pore GP Practice

I'm now reporting, LIVE (@ time of post), this time away from the Singapore F1 Grand Prix race circuit.... faaaaaar away from the circuit.

The practice sessions are about to end and cars are already showing off, whizzing by quick and noisily, drivers hoping to be the first Singapore F1 driver.

It started with a Mazda, grunting as it zipped by, tearing through the small road next to where I'm seated.

Right after the session ended, a Lamborghini makes its flashy exit to the road and flies to the other end of the road in no time. A few minutes later and a some car with a spoiler zooms past, making a whole load of noise, interrupting the silence.

F1 fever gripping the nation? I think so too...

And to the idiot that makes a whole load of noise around my area around 3am in the morning, watch out, you might find something in your exhaust if you keep the noise up.

Singapore Gets In The World Cup Finals!

Once again Singapore is in the finals but only to referee matches and not play in one. Shamsul Maidin was named as one of the 23 official referees for this year's final matches. The national team was given a goal to get themselves in the finals by 2010. It's 4 years away and we don't seem anywhere close to that. So for now we should be proud that we got someone there flying our flag.

Steady Lah!
