We had to get a bit of shopping done today and decided to have lunch at Nando's to start the day. They had a similar menu to the Nando's in Singapore, but I still could not decide what to share. In the end, we got a whole chicken, some ribs, corn, chips, coleslaw and the Portuguese rolls.
While waiting for our food, the Nando's mascot came out, greeting diners with a high-five, and gave out some discounts for our next meal. It then headed out with some testers to tempt people but seemed more happy just to pose for all the photos diners wanted to take.
Our food arrived just after the mascot left and it tasted exactly like what we get in Singapore. The only thing that was new was the ribs, which looked like pork ribs, but were actually the part close to the wings that had a long flat bone through it. It was very easy to eat and would be good for children who might not like the skin on chicken wings. It was also the first time I was tasting the corn with the garlic and herb dressing, and I think I now know exactly what I will order on my next visit.
Om Nom Nom...
