The Perfect Egg

I boiled some eggs for my sister's lunch and after peeling them, found them to be boiled just right to make Ajitsuke Tamago, the marinated eggs we usually find in Japanese ramen. I managed to peel one without any damage, and decided to try making a marinated egg. Since it was not planned, I did not have all the ingredients required for the marinade. I decided to use Bovril (the kind made from actual beef) instead. So after getting a nice thick mug of Bovril, I let the egg have a nice warm soak in it for almost a day.

Got hungry and decided to make ramen to go with my egg. I had the biggest smile on my face when I saw the yolk flowing out after I cut it in half. The only thing better was eating the lovely, Bovril-marinated egg.

Om Nom Nom...
